Right / wrong stays. This is how it could look instead.

You said you like the mark but not the implementation. Measured on the deployed screen, two things are wrong with it, and only one of them is looks.

Hover the rows and click the marks. Every option below is live. The first is exactly what ships today, so you can compare against the real thing rather than a description of it.
0 · What ships today the problem
Two pill-shaped things stack in one cell. The agent's outcome and your verdict look like the same class of object, so nothing tells you which one the system decided and which one you did.

And an unmarked row has no control at all. Measured: zero buttons. The badge only appears once you have already marked the row somewhere else, from the panel dropdown or the g/b keys. So it is not a control, it is a status pill with a hidden × for clearing. The most common thing you would want to do from the list, marking a row, is the one thing it cannot do.

Hover the third row. There is nothing to click.

1 · A quiet pair of marks, revealed on hover, kept when set recommended
The verdict stops being a pill and becomes two small glyphs beside the outcome. They are invisible until you hover the row, so a clean list stays clean; once you set one it stays lit. Clicking the lit one again clears it, so the × disappears and there is one gesture instead of three. And it can finally be set from the row, which is the thing today cannot do at all.

Hover any row: the pair fades in. Click one, then click it again to clear.

Row height never changes, marked or not, because the glyphs sit on the outcome's own line.
2 · A coloured edge on the row, and the mark lives in the panel the lightest
The row carries a 3px green or red edge and nothing else. You can read a whole screen of verdicts in one glance, and the list gains no controls at all. The cost: you still cannot mark from the row, so it fixes the looks and leaves the real gap. It also spends colour that the outcome tones already use.

3 · One line: the outcome, then your verdict as a single glyph most compact
sent ✓ — the verdict is one character after the word, coloured. Nothing stacks, nothing competes, and the cell stays one line. The cost is that a lone glyph is easy to miss and easy to misread as part of the outcome, which is exactly the confusion the mark was separated out to avoid in the first place.

The fork

  1. Option 1, the hover pair. Fixes both problems: nothing competes with the outcome, and you can finally mark straight from the list. Clicking the lit mark clears it, so the × goes away. Recommended.
  2. Option 2, the edge rail. The prettiest list and the least code, but marking still only happens in the panel, so the real gap survives.
  3. Option 3, the single glyph. Tightest, and reintroduces the confusion between the agent's outcome and your verdict that this mark exists to keep apart.
  4. Combine 1 and 2. Hover pair to set, edge rail to read at a glance. More colour on screen than anything else here; worth saying no to unless you want the whole list scannable.
