The channel card — four ways to show status

Back on the C card you leaned on: chip and handle, status, the Comments and Messages tiles with their trend, gate pills at the foot. Everything except the status treatment is identical across all four, so the only thing under comparison is whether the state reads clearly.

1 · Status is the headline

The state gets the largest type on the card, directly under the name. You read the state before anything else and the numbers are supporting evidence.

2 · Status on the header line, as a solid pill

The state sits right of the handle as a filled pill. Tightest of the four, and a wall of cards scans down one edge.

3 · Status as a band across the top

The state colours a full-width strip above the name. Impossible to miss at a glance across a grid; the loudest, and a healthy channel shouts as much as a broken one.

4 · Coloured edge, status under the name

A 4px edge carries the state down the whole card and the word sits under the name at normal weight. The state is findable from across the screen without any element shouting.
