Social: three layouts to pick from
Usability round, step 3. Social is the grid of Instagram and Facebook posts, and a post opened with what the AI knows about it and every comment. Each option shows a post open at 1440 and one screen on a phone, in the real shell, on the six text roles. Pick one, or name the parts you want from each.
What is off now
From the apple-design review of the grid and an opened post (shots of 2026-09-27 at 1440 and 390, on the local test data: six posts, ten comments on the one opened).
- HighEvery comment carries four or five outlined buttons, each with a small uppercase "BECOMES SENT" label. Ten comments make a popup 3,886 px tall on a phone.
- HighThe popup holds the post, the AI's settings for it and the moderation of every comment: a whole app inside a popup, with no way to keep your place.
- HighStates are system words in lower case: "sent", "held", "skipped", "organic", "not interpreted". "AI stays out: off" is a double negative for "the AI is working here".
- MediumWith one post a day, each day is a row with one tile: about 85% of the 1440 width is empty. (The test data has one post a day; how many prod posts a day was not checked.)
- MediumA tile's state is a 6 px coloured dot, explained only by a legend at the foot of the page.
- MediumThe date shows three times in the popup; "Comments 10" and "10 comments seen here" say the same; three sentiment chips read 0.
- MediumEvery commenter's picture reads "US", the first letters of "user.handle".
What works and stays: posts grouped by the day they went up, with a count; the post beside what the AI knows and the comments; our reply nested under the comment with an AI badge; Arabic comments running right to left.
The grid and a side panel
The grid stays, six across, grouped by week so a quiet week is not six rows of one tile; each tile keeps its age. A tile says in words how many comments wait for you. A post opens in a panel at the side, with the grid still in view, and the panel has two tabs: Comments, and The AI on this post.

- Each comment shows one state in words and one menu. The menu lists what you can do and what the comment becomes.
- A draft waiting for you shows its text with Send and Edit, the only buttons on the comment.
- The phone grid reads like the Instagram profile people know.
- Trade-off: the AI's settings for a post are one tab away from its comments.
Posts as a list, comments beside
Social becomes a list of posts, newest first, like Mail: a small picture, the caption's first line, and how many comments wait for you. The post you pick fills the right side: a strip with the AI's settings for it, then its comments.

- Going from post to post never closes anything: the list stays.
- "Waiting for you" sorts to the top of each post's comments.
- The captions are readable at list size; the pictures are small.
- Trade-off: you lose the picture grid, which is how the team sees the account on Instagram.
A page for each post
The grid stays as the way in, and a post opens as its own page with an address you can share. Three columns: the post, its comments in the middle, and the AI's settings for it on the right. On a phone the columns stack, and a comment's menu opens from the bottom.

- Everything about one post is on one screen at desktop width.
- Back returns to the grid where you left it; Activity's "Open post" lands here.
- The phone menu sits in reach of a thumb, with 48 px rows.
- Trade-off: the page replaces the grid, so comparing two posts means going back.

Plain words for what happened
The words come from the registry Activity also reads (activity-registry.ts), so they change on both screens together and stay one vocabulary.

- A tile's state is written ("3 wait"), never a coloured dot, and the legend goes.
- The date shows once. A sentiment filter chip shows only when its count is above zero.
- A commenter's picture shows the first letter of their handle, never "US".
- Deleting a comment still asks first, as it does now.
- The comments, handles and captions drawn here are made up.
